Why we Love Presque Isle State Park
There is no fee to enter the Presque Isle State Park. You simply drive out and spend the day, or the week! This state park is large enough to spend your entire vacation here in Erie, Pennsylvania. Whether you eat a hot dog at Saras, drive over to Smuggler’s Wharf and enjoy dinner on the dock of the bay, fly a kite on the shore of Lake Erie, or ride a bike in Presque Isle State Park, Lake Erie has some beautiful spots for families and friend get aways.
As a blogger, I know first hand how expressive pictures can be, so I’m just going to show you why we love Presque Isle State Park.
Take the time to learn about Perry’s Monument
Once you enter the state park, you will have several places that make great side trips. Take some time and learn about Commodore Perry at Perry’s Monument on Misery Bay. Misery Bay was the temporary home of Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry’s fleet during the War of 1812.

Beautiful and impressive pictures, Sharon! You represent the places you have visited so well that it makes me want to visit every one of them. I may never reach all of the exciting places you have shown in your great blogs, but it is so much fun to see them through your eyes and the eyes of your family. Keep up this great blog!
