Dolphin Cruises on the Florida Coast
Many families love to take dolphin cruises when they go on vacation. Last summer we had the opportunity to take a tour on the Southern Star Dolphin Cruise in Destin, Florida. We were out for 2 hours and saw more dolphins than we could count. It was a great way to enjoy being out in the ocean enjoying the wind, waves and making memories with my family.
Dolphin Cruises on the Florida Coast
I did some searching on the internet and found several great Dolphin Cruise options on the Florida Coast. Which area will you be visiting this summer? Check out one of these great options!
Destin, Florida
The Southern Star was a large 80 foot, 3 level boat. The top level is covered so you are out of the sun but open on the sides so you can enjoy the wind and still see the dolphins and the scenery. The middle level has an air conditioned snack bar where you can sit and stay cool if you want to. Then there is a small viewing area downstairs with 8 glass bottom windows so you can see the water under the boat.

Clearwater, Florida
Little Toot Dolphin Cruise – Clearwater, Fl
The Little Toot is the only Dolphin boat that can go into the shallows as well as the Gulf to ensure more Dolphin sightings and closer Dolphin contact. You are guaranteed to see dolphins on your trip or your next trip is free. Since it is also a Tug Boat, it can create waves in the wake that the dolphins like to play in and attracts more dolphins for your sightseeing pleasure.

Have you gone on a dolphin cruise? Got a great picture you want to share? A favorite place to go? I’d love to hear!
How fun! We did a Dolphin Swim in the Bahamas and it was GREAT! LOVE dolphins!!!
I’ve always wanted to swim with dolphins!
I can’t wait to experience Dolphins in Florida! One of my many dreams has been to swim with them. Saving it for when my daughter can swim without floaties so we can do it together (or whenever they allow it!). We’ll most likely try the place in Clearwater as we have family there 🙂
I’ve been on a half-dozen whale watching tours, but never a dolphin cruise. It looks so engaging!
I’ve never heard of dolphin cruises. That would be a blast. Thanks for the info!
My kids would love to be able to see dolphins up close like this. What a wonderful opportunity.
Oh this looks like so much fun!
We are going to Florida in December and are already planning our excursions. We will have to check this out.
