Playing in the Sand
When you think about spending time playing in the sand, what states come to your mind? Florida? Alabama? California? How about New Mexico? No matter where you are in the United States, there are chances to enjoy playing in the sand. White Sands National Monument offers some of the most beautiful sand dunes where you can “dig, sled, roll and run”. Take a look at Michelle from A Local Wander who spent the day on the sand dunes with her family.

My Kids Playing in the Sand
Here is our latest fun day where we spent time playing in the sand. A few states away from the sand dunes in New Mexico. We spent the entire week making memories at Navarre Beach in Florida.
Where do you go when you want to enjoy playing in the sand? I’d love to hear or see your pictures.

Is that beach on the gulf side? I definitely need to go there-I’ve only been to Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks for the feature, too!
Michelle, Navarre is up near Pensacola on the panhandle.
I am personally a pool girl because I hate the mess of sand… but there is nothing like sinking one’s feet into sand and this makes me want to! Sadly we don’t have a beach vacation for 3 more months! We always try to do beach and pool as my husband is all about the beach.
I read somewhere that all you need to make kids happy on a vacation is sand and water. It’s so true. My kids still love building sand castles, but they are getting much more complex now.
That looks gorgeous! I love the idea of “sledding” down the sand!
I wish that I could be on a sandy beach somewhere right now. That looks so fun!
This is my idea of a peaceful vacation. Resting on the beach in the sunshine. Lovely.
we love our sandy beaches here in Florida! I would love to visit some of these other places though!
