Thanks so much for sharing my post. Off to check out the others. Sharing!
I really want to visit that museum! It makes me think of “A Christmas Story” and I just love that movie. 🙂
We have been to a few wax museums.. they are so much fun with all the “famous” people we met..
I love places where the children can get a hands on, and actually participate in experiments or to see how something works etc. even if it’s like the petting zoo so they can get up close and familiar with new animals they never seen before except for in books. COOL
I like visiting museums because you learn so much there. This are really nice museums for kids and adults alike to appreciate.
I could’ve sworn I left a message here before, but what the heck let’s try it again. I do love museums that the kids can interact with. It’s bad enough you have to walk all over the dang place, but without something to do once in a while those kids will definitely have some pretty heavy duty restless spirits I’ll tell ya.
Those are some great looking musuems. I will have to see if they have any near me to take my kiddos.
What a fun time! My boys would love going to all of these museums. We are huge science fans here in our home.
I can’t say I’ll be visiting any of those ten as they’re not near me. However, I’ve been to the Indianapolis Children’s Museum and it’s outstanding!
It has been awhile since I have been to the Museum. 🙂 I kind of want to go again.
This is an awesome list of museums. I don’t think I have been to any on this list either. I would love to go to the Wax museum for sure. Thanks for sharing.
The Hollywood Wax Museum is so much fun and definitely one of the most fun museums that I have ever been to.
These look like a great bunch of mini adventures. Well compiled! I’m on the other side of the world so chances of seeing these are few to slim – but then again who knows.
Some of these are in places we actually make it to a few times a year. I’d love to check one or more of them out.
I don’t see any highlighted here in CO but I had no idea it was that day anyway. I may just take my toddler to one in Denver.
I would love to be in Washington DC for museum day. I went t here two years ago with my son and we loved it. It was just now long enough. Great idea!
I was unaware of this holiday until I read your article. I am going to find out which museums around me are honoring the tradition. What a great day out for the kids and I.
You have plenty of places to visit on your free day huh!
I wish we also have museums like that here.. 😀
I have always loved going to museums. Some of my favorites include the Hollywood Wax Museum, Johnny Cash Museum in Nashville, and the Ripley’s Believe It or Not.
Oh I would love to visit the Johnny Cash Museum one day!
Thanks for the roundup. I have not been to a museum in a while.
They all look so good , we have lots over in the UK
Our city does Museum day in the spring. The museums get so full and overcrowded, it doesn’t make for a pleasant experience but it’s great for those that can’t afford to go otherwise!
I did not know September 27th is a visit Museum day. I need to look into Museums around here and visit one with my son.
Thanks for posting this. I just marked my calendar for the 27th. Hope I can find somewhere local that participates in “Museum Day Live.”
oh i love museums! specially the interactive ones like the modern science museums because it’s like an educational playground! thanks for sharing this list! 🙂
Thanks for the reminder. I always forget about Museum Day until it has passed.
