Why You Need to Visit the SPAM Museum
The museum staff will be the first to tell you that not everyone that comes through the doors of the SPAM Museum is a fan. In fact, there is even a copy of a letter from a former US President where he states that he was not a fan of SPAM while he was serving in the US military. But everyone who comes to the museum discovers that they love their visit.
SPAM across the world
Here in the central United States, we are not the target consumer or the main focus group for SPAM. But did you know that there are countries in the world where SPAM is one of the staples in their diet? There are island nations where SPAM provides much-needed meat to their citizens.
In the SPAM Museum, you can walk through a full exhibit area where you can see how other countries cook SPAM and serve it in their culture.
History of SPAM
Did you know that SPAM was first created to help our military servicemen? There is an entire section of this museum showing the history of SPAM and how the military were able to get their food while serving in the World War.
Have some fun with SPAM
As you move through the museum, there are some fun, interactive exhibits where you can create your own can of SPAM. Turn it into a contest and see if you can beat the record of your friends and family.
Fun for the Kids
If you have young kids in your group, there is a great kids area where they can play in the kitchen and have some great imagination fun.
