Many of my friends have been to Puerto Rico. We have even blogged about their adventures on this blog. However, Puerto Rico is a place that I haven't made it to yet. That may soon change, though, as I have been reading up on Puerto Rico facts and I have a few reasons to share that might convince you to visit if you haven't yet.

With over 270 miles of coastline, Puerto Rico is consistently listed as one of the Top 10 beach destinations by the Travel Channel. With gorgeous scenery which includes Flamenco Beach in Culebra, what is not to love? If you are looking for a beach, you will not find a shortage in Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rico Facts: #4 The Landscape Is Really Cool

Did you know that you will glow in the Bioluminescent Bays? Puerto Rico is also home to the only rain forest under US national park service, El Yunque. Did you know that you had a rain forest that you could visit without a passport? I didn't. How cool is that?

Hey adventure seekers – Puerto Rico has you covered.     We honeymooned in Puerto Rico and loved it! There really is something for everyone, and not needing a passport was perfect for getting of the mainland.

    I had no idea that you didn't need a passport as an American citizen. I guess I just never thought about it before. This sounds like an awesome place to visit. :)

    I love Puerto Rico! It's probably my favorite vacation spot. By the way, El Yunque is the only TROPICAL rainforest under the US parks system. A lot of people are mistaken about that, but the US does have other rainforests.
